Youth Historical Facts

  • 1956 Rocky Mountain Association’s Youth Department was organized.  Mrs. Ethel Washington appointed the First State Youth Director for the Association, and Ms. Sammie White Ellis appointed the First Youth President for the Association. 

  • 1988 Association First Youth Congress was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mrs. Dula Brock, Association State Youth Director and Reverend Isaac Brantley, Association Moderator.

  • 1999 Association Youth attended the National Baptist Convention, USA Western Region Youth Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.  Mrs. Cynthia Norton, Association Youth Director and Reverend Corey J. Hodges, Association Moderator.

  • 200 Convention hosted a two day Congress of Christian Education Youth Retreat at Camp Utaba.  Mrs. Cynthia Norton,Convention Youth Director, Ms. Janel Elbert, Convention Youth President, and Reverend Corey J. Hodges, Convention President.

CAMP NBC

A partnership between The National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and Bass Pro/Cabela’s Outdoor Fund to provide children opportunities to learn about the outdoors through one--day learning experiences
